Default Diameter of S.F. reinforced parking meters?

Hi All

The city of San Francisco has reinforced their parking meter posts with
a second pipe over the existing pipe. The I.D. of the second pipe is
about the same as the O.D. of the original pipe, and is loose to turn
to prevent attacks with large pipe cutters. Does anyone know the O.D.
of this 2nd pipe? I want to buy a new Kryptonite Evo Mini lock, but I'm
not sure if it's large enough (at 3-1/2") to fit around the
reinforcement.

Any knowledge greatly appriecieated, John

Looks like there are other things you should be locking your bike to...

Take a string/flexible tape measure, measure that, and then divide by pi.

I don't have much, but I hope I helped.

Thanks Phil

Be nice now. No need to get your shorts in a bunch.
I don't live in the city. I just go there about once every other month.
I figure if an Evo Mini covers the reinforced meters, it will work with
all meters I encounter.
Sorry for the double post. Google didn't accknowledge being posted. I
gave up, deciding to post at a later time. Then, lo' & behold, a double
post.

Again, any knowledge greatly appriecieated, John

I expect to be in the City next Wednesday. If you don't have your answer by
then, and if I see one of these double pipe meters, I'll be happy to measure
it for you.

Hello Leo

I sent you an email to an address I pieced together from your name and
the Google truncation. I don't know if you got it. Mine is
. remove the obvious.

Thank you very much; I really appreciate it, John
