It's not that no one is concerned or interested, it's that it's his and
his family's private issue unless they choose to make the details public.

Non sequitur. His current situation probably can't be helped by the
public, and whatever he and his family want to publish is up to them
alone. I guess quite some people here regularly wish him all the
best, silently in their minds though.


That said his posts and articles stay visible in some USENet
archives and website, and "The Bicycle Wheel" book. The copyright
of the latter is with Avocet, so it requires Avocet and distribution
to be available. If you wanted to engage, you could if there's any
chance to put it under a CC license (e.g. via http://Unglue.it).

kitchen about internet anonymity, and Jobst came up.

Every morning when I arrive at work, I send my wife an
email letting her know I made it (again). Due to alpha-
betical proximity, when I start filling in her email
address, gmail offers Jobst's in the list - so I am
~reminded of him daily.

And still regularly send my best wishes across the cosmic
psychic vibe-o-sphere.

I too wish all and only good things for Jobst. He set me straight more than once, all for the best.
