The car was cloaked?
It just beamed in, right in front of the cyclist? These things can
happen.
Seen it on Startrek.
The cyclist was not looking where he was going?
My money is on the car employing a cloaking device. I've seen these on
Startrek.

Those stealth devices are EVERYWHERE!
Here are just a couple of instances.

Meant this!

Cyclists frequently attampt to cloak, by riding in the dark without
lights, reflectors or even just light coloured clothing.Â* It is little
wonder that they get knocked off, especially the ones that ride on the
wrong side of the road, or straight out of side roads, wrong way round
the roundabout, wrong way in one way streets, ride high speed roads in
the early hours, etc. etc.Â* I know it is natural selection, but it is
very distressing for the people that hit them, so it is little surprise
that they drive on, sad, but true.

Shame on you defending Hit and Run!

How? I am explaining a likely set of reasons that it occurs, most road
users do not deliberately run into anything.

You aren't getting this.

It isn't about "normal" traffic collisions between moving vehicles. It's
about cyclists running into stationary objects which either haven't
moved for a while (parked cars, lorries, vans, etc) or have never moved
since they were created (walls, lamp-posts, bus-stops and shelters,
walls, fences, street furniture, etc).

I'm sorry but this is ********: "But no one has been able to explain why such
an experienced cyclist would suddenly collide with a parked car for no apparent
reason."

How about he was not looking where he was going, and probably was cycling too
fast.

When a cyclist (on his bike) collides with a parked motor vehicle, or a
wall, or a lamp-post or other item of street furniture, there can really
only be one cause of the incident.

It's the same when a driver collides with one of those stationary objects.

I hope you are not suggesting that the lamps-posts etc are to blame.
