Default Custom 24" MTB wheel with Hugi 240 hub (with 2 tires) - New

ONE-OF-A-KIND WHEEL!

This is a brand-new hand-built superlight racing rear wheel that was
custom-built for my daughter to race in the 2004 Junior Olympics and
Mountain Bike National Championships by a renowned wheel builder who also
built wheels that carried my daughter to two Triathlon National
Championships. He knows his stuff and built this very trick one-off wheel.
It was to be used on her Specialized 24" mountain bike but she bought
another bike and now doesn't need this wheel.

There was a lot of engineering put into this wheel to make it strong and
light. The wheel is built around a superlight 403g black Sun 24" rim that is
not available to consumers (you cannot find a sub 500g 24" rim anywhere)
built up with a 24-spoke trick lacing pattern, custom black Wheelsmith
spokes, black alloy nipples and a black Swiss-made Hugi 240 hub (arguably
the best hub made).

The total weight for this wheel is only 805g!

(Even the new 2004 superlight Mavic Crossmax SL rear weighs 820g.)

WHEEL WEIGHT SAVINGS: Replacing the heavy freewheel rear wheel on your
junior's Specialized, Trek, Giant or any other brand's 24" mountain bike
with this one will remove up to two pounds and give you the flexibility of
running 7, 8 or 9 speeds with a variety of cassettes instead of the
antiquated heavy freewheel! While adults freak about removing 100g on a
bike. removing 800g for a kid who puts out 1/5th the power is HUGE and they'
ll notice it immediately!

TIRE WEIGHT SAVINGS: To reduce weight even more, I'm including two brand-new
hard to find Specialized 24" lightweight 430g tires which can remove another
pound if you replace the heavy tires that came on your 24" bike. That's a
$46 value included with this wheel!

The most important place to reduce weight on a bike is the wheels, and with
this lightweight rim and tire combination you reduce the rotational weight
dramatically. You can buy this wheel for about what the hub costs!

Give your junior racer this secret weapon and the podium is just a race
away!

PAYMENTS & SHIPPING:
I accept paypal or money orders only, BUYER pays ALL shipping costs.

NOTE: Although picture shows one tire, two are included. If you're
interested in a matching front wheel, I can make arrangements to have one
built for you at my cost.
