Default Bike repairs after RTA.

I suffered an accident earlier this month, and I wanted some advice on
the bike.

Its a Cannondale Caad 9 Tiagra Compact '09 which has Cannondale Ultra
Carbon forks.

The driver pulled out in front of me which resulted in me T-boning the
side of his car, I don't know how my bike hit it or where it landed as
I ended up in an ambulance. However after looking at my bike I can see
that my right drop seems to be bent inwards so I'm presuming I tried
to swerve (and failed). I know I did an almighty flip and I imagine
the bike did the same as I was strapped in.

I have checked my user manual and it states that my bike is not
designed or impact and is likely to extreme component failure upon
impact or words to that effect.

Just wanting advice, I will be claiming for repairs anyways. Is it
safe to get the handlebars replaced or am I risking 'frame fractures'?

An 09 bike? You should ask for a new one.

If you're in the CTC, talk to them. If not at the very least take the
bike to a reputable bike shop and get them to estimate for repairs.
They may charge you for that but it's an expense you can get back off
the opposition's insurance. The ins co probably won't pay out unless
you have a bit of paper from someone who (at least the ins co
believes) knows what they are talking about.

Afraid I'm not in the CTC. I'm going to take it to the not-so-local
bike shop hopefully at the start of next week. Suppose i'll see what
they say. I just wanted a bit of advice, esp if they just say replace
the handlebars.

Make sure they know its an insurance claim, and they will decide what needs
replacing or repairing to make it like new.

You can use the same legal team, on a "no win, no fee" basis.
Document all your expenses and injuries, including replacement
transport until it's sorted.

CTC use Russell Jones & Walker, as do London Cycling Campaign
http://www.rjw.co.uk/our-expertise/a...ling-accidents

0800 916 9015

and join the ctc. You can afford it. It would be saving you monet
already. They need support.

No, not at all. BC is more about racing I think but they are
completely separate bodies.
