You are better off with a rear facing camera that saves evidence of poor driving and illegal close passings. You are actually better off with mirrors, so that you can know what is happening behind you and be in a position to react appropriately to it. I seem to manage fine by what I don't wear. I don't wear ear plugs, headphones etc. Good. A mirror would still help. Remember that fashion in the mid-sixties for Lambrettas and Vespas to be fitted with about twenty mirrors each? https://c8.alamy.com/comp/TRTM5C/modern-day-scooter-in-old-style-mods-rockers-detail-TRTM5C.jpg Perfectly SFW. Oh yes remember those. The youngsters of today do not know what they are missing. |

I have tried several of them over the years and never found one that works. Any that will grip the handlebar when sufficiently tightened and has a stalk long enough to allow the glass to be positioned so as to afford a wide enough view of the road behind. Motorcyclists and scooter riders don't seem to have any difficulty finding them, so perhaps you culd visit a store specialising in motor-cycle parts and accessories. They aren't free, mind. That might be a problem, I expect. I have BOUGHT several pedal cycle mirrors over the 30 years I have been a cycle commuter and never found one that worked. This includes handlebar mounted, bar end mounted, frame mounted and even the helmet with the built in mirror (Revue?). What mirror do you use on your pedal cycle? I have bought mirrors also - specifically "bicycle rear vision mirrors" which screw onto the handlebars. The main problem I found was severe vibration - such that the picture in the mirror is extremely blurred. |

Exactly, you spend more time trying to see the image in the mirror than you do looking ahead. |

The lack of one will not. See above. Either post your experience or STFU. |
