Young cyclist left fighting for his life after quadbike crash

Two men remain in hospital, with one fighting for his life, after a serious crash yesterday afternoon.

The serious accident happened between a quad bike, a pedal cycle and two cars in Lincoln Road, Peterborough yesterday afternoon (May 14).

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, officers and paramedics, rushed to the incident involving a Yamaha quad bike, a pedal cycle, a Toyota Prius and a Renault Scenic at around 4.20pm.

The quad bike rider, a 27-year-old man, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

The cyclist, an 18-year-old man, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he remains in a critical condition.

The drivers of the cars remained at the scene and were not injured.
