Default RBR Spelling Rules and Protocol

1. Format: The spelling bee is conducted after each UCI event. Each RBR
speller remaining in the spelling bee at the start of a round spells one
Italian and Flemish word in each round. The spelling bee may be conducted
orally or in writing or in a manner that is a combination of the two;
however, if the spelling bee officials specify an oral format, the speller
may not demand a written format except under the conditions of Rule 4.

2. Word list: The local RBR spelling bee officials are responsible for
selecting the word lists for use at each local spelling bee. Many local
spelling bee officials use word lists generated by the RBR National Spelling
Bee Guide. These lists include many words that appear in the current
Italian edition of Spell It! All words on RBR word lists are entries in the
Flemish International Dictionary and its addenda section, copyright 2006,
Merriam-Webster, the official dictionary of the RBR National Spelling Bee.

3. Special needs: Spelling bee officials will strive to provide
accommodation for spellers who have physical challenges and for those who do
not know how to spell B-E-T-T-I-N-I. All requests for spelling bee
officials to accommodate special needs involving sight, hearing, speech, or
movement should be directed to spelling bee officials well in advance of the
spelling bee date. The judges have discretionary power to amend oral and/or
written spelling requirements on a case-by-case basis for spellers with
diagnosed medical conditions involving sight, hearing, speech, or movement.

Dumbass,
You're supposed to spell a Kazakh word using the Kazakh cyrillic alphabet,
and be able to work out the probability of riders with the same initials
coming 1st and 2nd.

That's interesting. Could you give an example of a word you consider to be
Flemish?
