With good reason as Yorkshire Water has acknowledged liability and paid
him compensation for it.

Now what were you telling us about the bikes you ride?

According to the report, the barrier popped up under his rear wheel causing
him to catapult off his bike. This is not exactly crashing into it.

Ah yes - the Porky Chapman school of accuracy.

Feel free to point out where Yorkshire Water acknowledged liability;

or did you just make that bit up?

"I have never said that I encourage my children to wear helmets. I would challenge judith
to find the place where I said I encourage my children to wear helmets." Guy Chapman
Judith then produced the web page where he said "I encourage my children to wear helmets."
Later that day Chapman immediately added the following to the web page:
"This page is out of date and preserved only for convenience" but he left the date last updated as 31/08/2004.

I personally think he has a good case. Maybe should have exercised some
caution though, but I don't blame him.

According to the report referenced by Mrcheerfull, Ms Sara Heppenstall
representing Mr Westerman(plaintiff), said: "Yorkshire Water has not
taken any further steps to alter the appearance of the vehicle barrier
that caused the accident in order to improve visibility, despite
acknowledging liability in Mr Westerman's case."

So a barrier system that thousands of motorists have coped with for years
without any problems, causes a terminally stupid ****ing **** to fall off a
push bike.

Now what were you telling us about the bikes you ride?

Why would Mr C be so thick as to ride a push bike?

--
Dave - intelligent enough to realise that a push bike, like a skateboard, is
a kid's toy, not a viable form of transport.
