Default Wind

It's a mere 18 - 32 mph today, down from 40 mph on Sunday and 45+ on
Saturday. I was getting pushed towards a bus on Friday, I don't know
how strong the wind was but it was up there. Very odd weather indeed
for New York City.

I'm in (sunny?) California and it has been either wind or rain (or both)
that keeps me in. Today we have both wind and rain making for a stay
indoors day. Strange weather here too.

That's because Kaliforniaaa is a strange place, for strange people.

Including a *large* number of whackos.

Like you, Bill_the_Blowhard.

Why should wind & rain keep you indoors? Or "cold" for that matter, our
version of "cold" being low-40s.

Stick to the plan. When it's time to ride, it's time to ride!

I see the resident Asshole id here, again.
By Dan, I can't stand sissies sitting behind a keyboard.
The tricycle thing was my *only* exaggeration.
The rest I have actually done, but a sissy like you would just wet wet
yourself.

California, at least the Sacramento area, set a few records.
Yesterday the weather guy said not only did we break a record low, but
also set a record low high for the day. I can't ride in cold weather at
all since my eyes start to water from the cold combined with the wind.
I would need ski goggles or something like that to ride in the cold.
Also since I already wear glasses even that might not work.

Pussy.

I thought you were tough, and could "do it all", Billy! What happened?

Riiiiggghhhhttttt. Sure, Bill. The majority of liars/cheats/
bull****ters only do it "once"... LOL

Just like Tiger Woods... he only did it once. Errr, nevermind.

Yesterday it was 37 on my commute to work, here in Milwaukee. Balmy!
A whopping 53 on the way home - almost ran out of water, it was sooo
hot! Around here, "cold" is below 20. I've ridden in -5, w/ wind
chill of -15ish or so - no biggie. Ya just gotta dress right.

No, I'm not superhuman. I'm a wimp, now that I'm getting older. I
did not ride today - it was in the 30s again, but serious downpour
and 40mph winds! I drove. Tomorrow is another day.

I like your attitude, Mike!

Goggles/glasses are good. I use Safety Glasses when it gets real cold -
below freezing. Don't care if I'm fashionable or not - I'm bike
commuting in the cold!
