Default Killer motorist given a slap on the wrist, as usual.

He had been previously banned from driving when he killed the girl and
did a runner.

"...Ibrahim was convicted of driving while disqualified and failing to
stop after the accident. He also had previous convictions."

So how could this get any worse?

From the BBC.

"A government bid to deport a failed asylum seeker who killed a 12-
year-old girl in a hit-and-run in Lancashire has been rejected by the
Court of Appeal.

Aso Mohammed Ibrahim, an Iraqi Kurd who was banned from driving, left
Amy Houston dying under the wheels of his car in Blackburn in 2003.

The 33-year-old was jailed for four months but allowed to remain in
the UK, with his family, on his release..."

Whilst (for once) I agree with you that this is appalling - this is
extremely old news and has been discussed on usenet at some length several
times. Did you look at the date on the article?

"Ret." gurgled happily, sounding much like they were
saying:

Your reasons may differ, though.

But Doug, the judges made the ruling on the basis of his human rights.
Surely you must applaud that, given your previous postings on the subject.

Duhg doesn't see why anybody else should have a family life, since his
own family don't want anything to do with him.

Isn't it about now that you say I admire the man & that I defend his
actions?

Actually - I see from this evening's news that there has been a further
appeal against the decision not to deport him. That has failed also - so we
are stuck with the lout.

Damn, you forgot to include "Yet another" in the subject line, so I opened
it by mistake.

actions?

Isn't it about time you revealed your own point of view instead of
always trying to extract them from others?
