155mph

cyclist hit

Keep him away from my area.

I don't care how nice he is, we have enough brain damaged children etc

I would refuse to insure him as an unacceptable risk.

In October 2007 he was convicted of careless driving after he went through
a red light and injured a pedestrian. He was driving his £87,000 BMW
convertible in Bolton, when he struck Geoffrey Hatton on a pelican
crossing. Mr Hatton, 55, suffered a broken leg in the incident. Khan was
cleared of dangerous driving, but found guilty of careless driving. He was
given a six-month driving ban and fined £1,000.

Three months later he was back in court to face magistrates for an earlier
offence of speeding. A police officer said his own speedometer was "off
the clock" at 155mph as he pursued the boxer on the M62 motorway near
Rochdale. He was fined £1,000 and banned for 42 days for speeding in his
BMW.

Mr Benn's comment: This idiot should have lis licence confiscated for
life. He has repeatedly showed contempt for the law and is likely to do
the same again.

Are you Nigel Benn:-)

You need to get on to Manchester police and provide them with your
evidence. Apparantly all the other witnesses said that Khan was not
at fault.

You were there, weren't you?

If the police in that area are anything like the ones in this area,
that doesn't tell us anything useful about the idiocy or otherwise of
his driving. They were probably too keen to get his autograph or
tickets to his next match to risk criticising him.
Roll on european harmonisation of liability laws.

The usual uk police attitude seems to be that any cyclist in the way
of an important motorist must be at fault, despite any evidence to the
contrary.

And *your* evidence to the contrary is exactly what?
