Default Reduced rear standlight time with Edelux

For most of the past 8 years I've been using a Lumotec Oval Senso Plus
at the front of my bike and a D-Toplight Plus at the back, powered by a
SON. The standlight on the Lumotec has worked sporadically, at best,
for the last 3 or 4 years, but the rear standlight has consistently
stayed on for several minutes after I stopped.

A few weeks ago I replaced the Lumotec with an Edelux. I'm now finding
that the rear standlight only stays on for a few seconds.

Does anyone here have any idea why this might be (I'm guessing Andreas
is the person most likely to have an answer)?

This is unusual. Please check the wiring between Edelux and your rear
light. Maybe there is some slack joint or high contact resistance which
causes the strange behaviour.

Thanks Andreas. It didn't take long to find a loose connection - I'm
surprised it was working at all, actually.

I'll report back tomorrow (as long as I remember to check!)

It's now staying on for about a minute after a 25 minute ride. I'll
check all the wiring on the outside of the frame at the weekend, then
maybe dismantle the frame and check the wiring on the inside during the
spring or summer.
