I can see another reverse pull brake on his clip-on bars mounted in
the middle somewhere. Anyone know what and why? Other photos at
cyclingnews.com Stage 3 -

It's a cyclocross inline brake lever, in case he wants
to do any cyclocross races on his TT bike. You never
know - just ask LANCE.

The cable from the third lever is linked to the cable coming from one
or the other of the levers mounted on the end of the 'cowhorns'. Its
used to allow for slight modulation of speed without having to come
out of his aero position on the extensions.

That's right. DZ's minute-man in front of him might be Beloki, causing
him to have to go cyclocross at a moment's notice.
