At last rbr is back on topic. Now if we can just get Asher to stop
nailing stuff this thread might start to warm up.

You can't see the difference between dangerous construction work, and
slipshod, improperly done work that is killing people?

By ALL means explain how that construction was more important than the
electrical distribution center in Iraq.

:Let's be clear on this Bill - something like a half dozen men FELL into the
concrete pour at the dam and no one tried to save them, they poured the
concrete over the top of them without even letting up for a minute.

Or was that OK since it was under Roosevelt?

Now, none of this means that things can't be improved. It also doesn't mean
that criminal charges can't be brought against the people in charge of KBR.

But your dumb pretense that it is the COMPANY and not individuals is
completely unsupported and let's not even get into the deaths in other
public projects that were caused because public officials put incompetent
people in charge strictly on the grounds of political payoffs.

Here's the bottom line - people die. Unless you can PROVE that it was
something other than an accident (and let's not even talk about the Liberal
position that there's no such thing as an unpreventable accident) perhaps
you ought to wait and see what it is all about?

Kunich myth alert:

http://www.historylink.org/index.cfm...m&file_id=7264

From the above reference:

"More than 12,000 people found work on the dam at one stage or another.
Seventy-two died on the job, mostly from falling or from having something
fall on them. Contrary to myth, none were buried in the concrete. The
workers were paid an average of 85 cents an hour. Skilled laborers, such as
carpenters and electricians, received up to $1.20 an hour. In the midst of
the Depression, these were considered excellent wages."

You left out retarded. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Has anyone else besides me ever wondered how you get a Kellogg-brown root
to begin with? It seems that whatever you would do to turn your root that
color, might also leave you with a nasty cheney on it as well.

I know someone who's worked on a research project on just that
subject. Very important government contract, that's why no one else
knows about it. Very hush-hush.

Dumbass,

Guvmint is incompetent. *It always loses and wastes money. And why
not? *It isn't its money, after all.

Guvmint := Waste, Greed, Fraud that would shame the crookedess of
crooks

Compared to what? Judging them incompetent or wasteful in any reasonable
way requires some basis for comparison.

Dumbass,

Why did you get so dense? You have densitomia. "The crookedess of
crooks" is the comparison. We are talking about trillion dollar
ripoffs: concentrated benefits and dispersed costs. Regular crooks at
least have the courtesy not to make me fill out paperwork every April
15.

Do you take brief off-the-cuff ****es on the usenet as fully detailed,
precise, and accurate discussion? You seem to. Who would read and
understand the treatise that detailed, precise, and accurate demands
require? (No one -- those are only done for the writer.) It's like
that goofy response of your's about whether "talking" was the best
language rather than "listening." I once had nitpickers disease, but
I'm now in recovery. You should get that looked at. Proper and
precise english does not always result in language with the most
punch. (Not that I know "proper english" -- I don't.)

People are politically (among other beliefs) fixated. It would not
matter how well one communicated and argued something, nor how
thorough the research behind it.

My time is better spent with other efforts. You are on your own. If
you get brainwashed and can't spot the framing, that's on you. You're
way above average, so it really is on you, unlike those devoid of any
natural talent. What I claim to know in more serious moments is quite
modest, but I can't be bothered to write the treatise explaining that,
nor off-the-cuff cusses.

ToC is up soon. I've seen Team BMC quite a few times in Santa Rosa,
and I think I may have saw the Colavita team too. THe weather this
winter has been mild here, therefore proving Global Warming. It is
chilly and raining today -- maybe the sun will return for ToC.

SLAVE
