Cyclist rams car with pool cue
This is for Mr D. Bollen from Catford.
When are we going to ban these dangerous metal frames and wheels which are the vehicle of choice for criminals? http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/te...4229-27091840/ Driver's window smashed with pool cue in Middlesbrough Aug 18 2010 by Andrew Pain, Evening Gazette POLICE are hunting two men who smashed a driver's car window with a pool cue. The incident occurred at around 7.30pm on Friday August 6 as the Vauxhall Astra was travelling along Acklam Road in Middlesbrough. As the car approached Newport Roundabout and turning onto the slip road for the A66 westbound the driver was stopped in the road by a man on the carriageway who was shouting abuse. While this was happening a second man approached the now stationary Astra on a pedal cycle. The cyclist then smashed the window with a pool cue. Both men then made off in the direction of Stockton Road. They are both described as white and between 20 and 30-years of age. The first was said to be of chubby build and wearing a blue tracksuit. The second, the man on the bike, was of slimmer build and wearing a white cap. Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Michael Robson on 01642 303126 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. |

The driver had obviously rammed them & then taken a turn round the block to meet them again. |

Assault with a motor vehicle is beginning to be treated rather more seriously. Assault with a motor vehicle is beginning to be treated rather more seriously. Is it? You could have fooled me! BTW, since I was accused of promoting anti-cyclist threads by posting anti-motorist threads, I have set out to prove that it is not so by taking a break. Low and behold! What happened? There are just as many anti-cyclist threads, like this one, as usual. LOL! Doug. |
