Befo a flip of the coin.
Now: a flip of the tetrahedron.

BTW, the PDF reporting these findings is at turns interesting,
encouraging, and insane:

http://www.centerfortransformingheal...le/Hand_Hygien
e.pdf

"Every day, 247 people die in the USA as a result of a health care
associated infection. This is equivalent to a 767 aircraft crashing every
day ..."

BTW, five of the eight hospitals are teaching hospitals. Sorta makes you
wonder what else new physicians are learning.

I wonder if, as in hand-washing, they're lagging behind the nurses.

Well, as long as my doctor is in the top 75% of the class, I'm happy.

More seriously, I wonder if the low-hanging fruit after doctors are
above 90% on, um, hand washing, is going to be implementing EBM really
aggressively.

Q: What do you call the guy who graduates at the very bottom of his medical
school class?

A: Doctor.

That's it. I'm asking my doctor for his transcripts.

Could be awkward, he's a family friend,

You could always give a him a hand disinfectant as a birthday present as a
little hint.

That would be sick-larious.

From the transcript:
JILL DOUGHERTY, CNN FOREIGN AFFAIRS CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): Twenty
years after Iranians took Americans hostage, severing relations between
the two nations, now the highest level discussions between Iran and the
United States this Thursday.

CRAP, CRAP, CRAP! I've gone senile and I remember nothing about that
1989 hostage situation!

Bill C said something like this when he warned us how the Democrats
would cram through their choices:

"Well Sean listen, there's an arrogance of power here. You've got the
White House controlled by the Obama folks, you've got a big majority
of Democrats in the House under Nancy Pelosi and a big majority of
Democrats in the Senate under Harry Reid."

That's John Boehner talking to Sean Hannity.

Thanks Boehner. Thanks Bill.

Thank god the IOC put Obama in his place by rejecting Chicago. Man, was that
a slap in the face or what? The guy has obviously lost all international
credibility.

You should be thankful - no country has made anything other than a loss
since the 1948 London event - that was marginally in the black. Now
we've got the damn thing back here in 2012.

I really think the Olympics should be in Athens *every* year, and
nowhere else. At least the Greeks might stand a chance of amortising
their costs on the 2004 event. :-)
