FA: 52cm 1970 Zeus Olympica Vintage road bike

Ends Friday April 14th. The details: Frame: 53cm c-t seat tube and 52cm c-c top tube, built with 'A' Quality Reynolds butted frame tubes, forks and stays, metallic gold/copper paint with white and black decals, long point lugs, cool Zeus headbadge, Zeus forged drop-outs with eyelets and adjusters Fork: 'A' Quality Reynolds steel, flat crown, Zeus forged drop-outs with eyelets Handlebars: Ambrosio polished alloy, 26.0mm clamp area, 41 cm wide (outside-outside), DARE brand white rubber covering Stem: Cinelli alloy road stem, 90 mm extension, very early 1A with the old Cinelli Milano in the oval on the top, polished not anodized and a 7mm expander bolt (!) Headset: Chrome steel Zeus Bottom Bracket: Zeus, ?? thread Crankset: Zeus double road, old world logo, 170 mm long with Zeus 52/42T chainrings (120mm BCD) excellent condition, 16mm crank bolts, 4 steel Zeus chainring bolts, the 5th is unmarked. Pedals: Kyokuto Top-Run road with Christophe Special steel toe clips, tan Christophe straps Chain: 3/32? IRIS brand chain Saddle: Completely inappropriate Selle Royal (sorry) Seatpost: Zeus 2-bolt 26.4 mm diameter, scratching zigzagging up the length Seatpost Binder: Zeus Brakes: Zeus Super Alfa centre-pulls, pads are dry, with Zeus top-tube cable clips and the original cables as well. Alfa brake levers are in excellent shape, although the white half-hoods are dried and cracking slightly. Shifters: Zeus clamp on down-tube friction shifters with white rubber tips Front Derailleur: Zeus (Zeus clamp on cable guide near the BB shell as well) Rear Derailleur: Zeus Criterium bronze Campagnolo Record copy Rims: Akront 700c tubulars (19.6mm wide), 36 hole silver, eyeletted, with the old-style scoring on the braking surface Tires: Barum 27 x 1 Kriterium P-B-W tubular tires (22mm wide). They are both in remarkable condition and hold 100psi for quite a long time no problem. Would need to be reglued, but you could probably ride them. Spokes: Front: Double butted (1.8/1.4mm) chrome plated spokes (4 leaf clover on the heads) 4x. Rear: 1.9mm straight guage plain spokes, no mark on the heads. Chromed brass nipples front and rear. Hubs: Zeus Gigante (large flange) road hubs 36 hole, rear has 120mm OLD measure, with Zeus flat bladed QR skewers. Freewheel: Atom 14-20 5-speed Thanks for looking, David |
