Man charged with killing a cyclist
From New Scotland Yard:
Barry Normah, 28 (2.08.84) has today, Thursday 13 September, been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident following the death of 17-year-old Olatunji Johnson Adeyanju in SE8 on Friday 23 March. He will appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 25 September. ====================== When found guilty, I hope he goes to prison for a very long time. http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/99...hit_and_ run/ |

Prison might be relevant if it was deliberate, and even if it was deliberate a 2000 pounds fine will be enough. after all sentencing should be even handed and un-prejudiced. |

He is innocent until proven guilty. Who are you to set yourself up as a replacement for the proper process of law ? |

You obviously have seen all the evidence - which bit do you think is most compelling? |

You obviously have seen all the evidence - which bit do you think is most compelling? I recall the story of how he fled the scene after he killed the innocent cyclist at a toucan crossing. http://goo.gl/maps/R3qvU I also seem to remember Cheerless and Dave seemed to think that he shouldn't have been on the footway, even when there are clear shared footway signs: http://goo.gl/maps/hLJWq But you are right, an all-driving jury might absolve the man of any blame for the slaughter. However, I'd be prepared to lay a evens wager of £5 that Barry Normah is found guilty. Are you prepared to accept my wager? When it comes to sentence, all bets are off. After Coong Doung Voong killed Leonard Woods by dangerous driving in Greenwich Park, about a mile from this latest killing, Voong escaped a prison sentence and was merely fined. |
