Hutchinson Flash 700x28 tires
Yes I know they're cheap LOL
but a picked some up on Nashbar for 5 bucks a pop for giggles, since 700x28 is a slightly unusual size. I know quite a few bikes come with these as standard, probably because of the cost, but was wondering if anybody had any opinions on them. I'm most interested in cornering feel and puncture resistance. I know they're a bit heavy, but that's not a big concern--I'm on 36 spoke Mavic MA3 wheels, which are rather tankish to begin with. I'm still running those cheap Nashbar Prima Pluses that I bought in March (3000 miles, one flat from glass), and feel spoiled because they've been very reliable. If the Flashes don't work out, I'll happily go back to the big dollar $10 Nashbar rubber. |
