I suspect that the typical Saluki buyer will
revel in the scarcity of spares; such people also buy specialty
automobiles, and crow about how their $EXOTIC_VEHICLE is in the shop
right now, and will not be out soon because the part required is only
made in one small water-power-operated shop in Finland that is only
operational for five months of the year.

Dear Werehatrack,

Aha! Another anti-Scandinavian bigot! I'll have you know
that lots of countries rely on hydro-electric power!

I'd like to take an ax to all of you!

Indignantly,

If they sell a bunch and start getting imitators, it's a fad. If it
flops, it's just another footnote.

I'm still getting used to the new, seventeen-steps-backwards Google
Groups interface. Sorry for the non sequitur.

And here we Canadians thought they liked to travel and browse the Moose
pastures of Northern Ontario while wondering why 'Mericans would want to
import and DRINK some Moose-**** called (and get this) "Moosehead"?

No matter, there is no accounting for taste. Or, as one poster noted
"there's always a market for That Which Is Different, whether there's really
a need for it or not".
