The beefy guy that picks up Eddy's bike, carries it to the track for
the attempt, sure looks like Ernesto Colnago(who built his bike, much
to the chagrin of Ugo DeRosa. Is it ya suppose?

He was on dope and did it at altitude of over 6,000 feet - the same
advantage that allowed Bob Beamon to jump over 29 feet at the '68 Mexico
City Games. Eddy Merckx is a fraud. Nobody even rides his bikes
anymore because he's such a ****ing has-been.

Thanks,

Magilla

Ooo - look, the comedian is back.

Psst - if you don't know about Eddy Merckx bicycles perhaps you ought not to
make your own ignorance known to everyone else.

Bob Beamon _destroyed_ the record. Second best at
Mexico City was 28 inches shorter than Beamon's jump.
It took 23 years before someone managed to break
Beamon's mark, which is a lot of opportunities to take
advantage of favorable altitude, wind, and dope.

So I don't know who this Merck guy is you are talking
about, but don't be hating on Bob Beamon.

Ben
