new (and old) toys. what to do???
flyingdutch Wrote: http://home.iprimus.com.au/adenholla...andidate_1.jpg http://home.iprimus.com.au/adenholla...ndidate_11.jpg The blue Vitesse i picked up this arvo about 3 doors from my place. I love the smell of hard-rubbish-collection in the morning! Its 56cm both ways but with the shortest (50-5mm?) stem i have ever seen. Its got damn 27.1/4 wheels but is in great condition. just needs new tubes/maybe-tyres and retrueing of wheels (i'd rebuild em with new spokes preferably). Got wayload clearace for guards, etc Im tempted to build it into a winter-pig commuter SS Might see if 'uncle' Peter Moore can sort them wheels out or get it runnin with 700c's somehow. http://home.iprimus.com.au/adenholla...candidate2.jpg http://home.iprimus.com.au/adenholla...andidate21.jpg The yello one is an old Hillman MTB frame i picked up years ago. Was a 'Sherpa' model from late 80's apparently... 48cm seattube, 60cm toptube. WAY too long for me. Has truckloads of clearance for panniers etc Built to last a royal commission. Has a newish BB and Headset eyelets for everything and horizontal dropouts so would make a perfect fixie/SS candidate so if anyone wants it (i might keep the cranks and FD tho...) lemme know and for the price of... what else? Beer! Someone chucked out the blue one? Doesn't look too bad, though the back wheel looks out of true even from the side! Is that bottle cage attached with blue electrical tape??? Seems like an excellent candidate for a ****ter, that has the interesting conversation piece in that it has the world's shortest stem. The yellow one looks like a 4:3 picture squashed into 16:9 Ritch Ritch -- ritcho |
