Radio Broadcast about women cycling
Not my usual choice of daytime listening.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womansho...7_25_wed.shtml But some excellent stuff on cycle training. And a debate on the use or otherwise of cycle lanes. |

And a debate on the use or otherwise of cycle lanes. quite a reasonable discussion, but why no representative from a cycling organisation? Only Sustrans, a civil engineering charity, and a teacher? Whilst they made some good points, they omitted much that would have been very persuasive. When is Auntie Beeb going to realise that Sustrans isn't a cycling organisation? |

I heard that too but didn't get time to post. Also some good stuff on why girls don't wear h*lm*ts and some intersting fashion tips too. Judging by the accent of some of the girls it seemed to me to be Londinium based and "ethnic". Didn't catch the feed in so can't say for sure. It was a good article for cycling though. A bit disappointed that they got confused, and forgot to mention that experienced cyclists didn't use many facilities because they were less safe than the roads. I thought they could also have mentioned that many don't wear helmets 'cos cycling is safer than walking. However, prolly the best I've heard so far. |

I think one of the groups used was the one pictured here. www.lcc.org.uk/index.asp?PageID=655 |
