I went to the Slanted Door on Valencia on my birthday 3 years ago, photos: http://www.kenpapai.com/diningout/index.html They moved to the Embaracadero in late 2002 and I had dinner there. They then moved again early 2004 to a new place in the Ferry Building and are PACKED at lunch time, just 2 blocks from my dwontown office. The decor is very austere modern but the food reviews are superb as expected. I offered years ago to do Charles Phan's web site. My other favorite Vietnamese restaurant in SF is Le Colonial. I also did a birthday dinner or two there. They are a fwe blocks from Union Square and have about the coolest longed, outseide of the Redroom Room in the Bay Area. I forked over 100 bucks to eat here about 30 miles from my house... I think it is five stars... http://www.chateaudusureau.com -Ken |

That WAS an excellent observation. Is "Supreme Ruler of RBR" an elective office? I'm surprised to learn that. It's a Totalitarian dictatorship, always has been. Henry was the last ruler before AA, I think. Elections are for civil forums. However, the top 9 after And what was I then -- a potted plant El Bruce? You were in the top five, but left for a season, (maybe lurk mode). Your're back now and should be in the Top ten. You got balls for standing up to some of these guys, I'll give you that. :-) I never did track down your imposter, whoever he was, that was confusing as hell, not knowing who the real Pappy was. All of the folks who post here behind pseudonyms are 100% chicken****s. Paper tigers. They don't have one ounce of gumption. People who forge others' identities and then post in forged names are beneath contempt like a sewer rat. And then there are those who post crap political diatribes -- they are usually the socialist far-left-wingers -- that they rip from a web site. They sit somewhere between the above two because it is a senseless spam act in a BIKE RACING newsgroup. They lack attention in their lives so they ride the socialist shoulders of others and think they're cute by posting such OT nonsense. -Ken |
