I'll gave to google them... Let's see: a "Sweden-based 4 piece all-girl rock band. " Sounds intriguing to say the least. I used to listen to L7 a lot and saw Joan Jett once in a small nightblub in Indianapolis a long time ago. Soundgarden's BADMOTORFINGER is one of the best albums released the past 15 years though. ;-) Witness: "Jesus Christ Pose", "Rusty Cage", "Searching with my Good Eye Closed", and especially "Room a thousand years wide". Wow. -Ken |

"Papai Digital" wrote in message om... "Sierraman" ... "k.j.papai" wrote com... Ever eat at the Slanted Door? Valencia street in the Mission District. Yummy! However, I don't have any Vietnamese music in my collection yet. :-( VERUCA SALT is an American chick band, c. 1992-1996 only. I went to the Slanted Door on Valencia on my birthday 3 years ago, photos: http://www.kenpapai.com/diningout/index.html They moved to the Embaracadero in late 2002 and I had dinner there. They then moved again early 2004 to a new place in the Ferry Building and are PACKED at lunch time, just 2 blocks from my dwontown office. The decor is very austere modern but the food reviews are superb as expected. I offered years ago to do Charles Phan's web site. My other favorite Vietnamese restaurant in SF is Le Colonial. I also did a birthday dinner or two there. They are a fwe blocks from Union Square and have about the coolest longed, outseide of the Redroom Room in the Bay Area. -Ken Few female artists I like are Susan Ciani, Loreena McKennitt, Lucia Hwong, Enya, Clannad. Slanted Door are famous for Carmalized Shrimp. I have been to the Marrakeeh Moroccan Restaurant O' Farrell next to Hilton. Also there was a little place going toward San Rafael after the bridge on the right that I used to like that had belly dancers, might of been Middle Eastern, or something close. Just a small little place. I liked the Russian Deli and I liked the Cliff House, Mels Diner, some of the old haunts in Chinatown and Japantown. I have been to the California Culinary Academy, I like Basque, Greek, Mediterranean types, but also middle eastern like in Modesto that is a Lebanese shop that make great pitas. :-) Yum! |
