What's the problem? *All* vehicular road users should hang back and give the truck room. For once, I agree with you (or rather, you agree with me). The same applies to buses and other long vehicles making a turn in a restricted junction. And to tractors and trailers in rural locations with narrow carriageways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rt619Pwaz3o&t=318s If your point is that the stop line is sometimes recessed a long way at tight junctions) in order to allow for long vehicles (like buses) turning and that everyone needs to respect traffic lights, I thoroughly agree with it. |

What's the problem? *All* vehicular road users should hang back and give the truck room. It destroyed fixed cycling road furniture, like this driver did. The road was empty at the time. https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/incomin...ENEWS_1JPG.jpg EddyBerckx | 988 posts | 1 day ago 1 like "Haringey Council posted the above reply on Twitter, saying that while the wands are "designed to rebound following this kind of over-run", they will "explore a more appropriate location for the wand". " So rather than deal with the offender...they are removing the cycle lane?!?! Reminds me of the time I complained to TFL about a bus overtaking then immediately squashing me against the kerb while I was in a cycle lane about 50 feet before a bus stop. They politely responded by promising to remove that section of the cycle lane...jesus wept. It's now a main part of the CS3 now thankfully... reply quote Avatar Philh68 replied to EddyBerckx | 348 posts | 1 day ago 1 like Why immediately assume the worst case scenario? They might just mean relocate the wand outside the turning radius of an articulated lorry so it doesn't get knocked over by these vehicles. |

No point in particular other than legislative intent. If speed limits were enforced to the letter of the law there would be no cars on cyclists roads. |
