Default Bruyneelisms - Stage 17

I think there are three secrets on the climb up Alpe d'Huez.

o Know the climb - do it over and over again;
o Respect the climb - don't think you're better than the climb;
o Accelerate in the corners - In the corners there are flat places and
you can gain some time there.

Craig: "Johan, where would you rate this climb up the Alpe?"

JB: "One of the top five climbs. Irregular and difficult to find your
rhythm"

On doping:
JB: With all the (testing) and the biological passport it's virtually
impossible to...(searching for the right word?) to...do
something...(searching...) wrong.

Plausible denial?
Johann (thinking) o o o (of course, what we were using was not tested
for and was not on any banned list. So, technically, it's not 'doing
something "wrong"'.)

(In 2006- LA: "the samples are" (thinking) o o o(will test) "clean".
Heard repeatedly. At the time the protease trick was not widely known)

Always tell the 'truth'. "We are not using any illegal doping
products."

Attention to detail is the real 'secret sauce'.

dumbass,

these are tips from Bicycling magazine.

how is "respecting the climb" going to help you if the competition
just had a fresh oil change and an extra watt per kilogram ?

Did I say those were my tips? Did I say JB's tips are golden?

Reading comprehension is key. Sorry I am uable to answer your question
about oil. Perhaps you want a NASCAR group?

Johan has written a book. Have you read it?
