More Highway Code and the CTC
"Bob Downie" wrote in message news This is interesting, received today via the Glasgow GoBike group. They are looking for responses today.. I've not been injured using one, the argument is that I don't wish to be foreced to use one as it will make my journey longer, slower and more prone to p*nct*res. I will also often be travelling at 20mph+ on a route shared with peds. |

No personal stories, which is what is asked for but:- [milton keynes cycle routes injuries] Returns sone good hits. Beware. I've written about this in more detail before, but essentially some MK redways are pretty early attempts, there are very different type of routes (at least local estate routes, original long-distance routes and grid routes) and there were at least two design phases. The promotion of cycling to residents also had its good and its bad points (good: the Redway Code; bad: unattended kid cyclists and crap rail/coach station parking). I don't remember any of the studies differentiating between construction eras or route types, which is like only giving combined accident figures for the Fosse Way and the M5.
