Why have children if you risk them like this?

=====Quote=====
In four hours, the officers stopped 70 lorries and issued 15 fixed
penalty notices for offences such as the vehicles not being fit for
the road.

They also stopped 100 cyclists, who were given safety advice.
=====/Quote=====

15 out of 70 (21%) lorry drivers were guilty of an offence.

100 out of 100 cyclists (100%) were not guilty of an offence.

OK - so one or two lorry drivers may elect to attend a magistrates'
court, plead innocent, and be found innocent.

The others, according to our new resident barista, are guilty by
accepting the FPN.

Rubbish. You can be guilty of an offence without a case having to go to court
(which was your little trap wasn't it?)

Just because the police let them off does not make them not guilty.

Yes it does. Innocent until proven guilty is a fundamental aspect of
British justice.

What a nutter.

Does he really think that his children are safe in that thing.

Typical psycholist mentality: I have a right to do what I like on the road, and
if it kills someone else - well tough.

(Waiting for Crispin to tell us that many people use such things in Holland.
here is a clue for him: we are not in Holland)

Wrong again.

Many people use such things in Copenhagen.

Isn't it the case that in Copenhagen if a cycle route exists by a
road cyclists must use it and are barred from the road? I think many
would find that a most acceptable proposal.

Not the morons who think cycles must stay on roads and not use pavements.
