One more sign MTB racing is dead
So we have all heard the stories about how USA Cycling is trying
to kill mountain biking racing in this country, but how about this: Trek VW gets rid oftheir regional MTB teams and in their stead for 2005, has the EXACT SAME THING for the road, namely TREK VW regional ROAD teams. (Maybe Franke Andreau WILL find a team for 2006!!! Good for him, I like Frankie. Even if he did rag on that chick that won the Oly trials RR to get a spot on the Oly team. He said that she looked like a 'fish out of water' Maybe Frankie will be rolling around on the ground for joy if he gets a contract for 2006) I personally want to say that this is GOOD RIDDANCE to MTB racing. I never owned a MTB, never plan too, etc. It seems that the only thing MTB's are good for is to go find a good place to ride to in the woods and smoke some weed. |
