What on Earth gave that person the idea that he could force his way through a
traffic jam and just pull into the queue wherever he liked, to the clear
disadvantage of those then stuck behind him as a large gap in the traffic
opens up in front of him because he can't keep up with the rest of the
road-users?

Why would he (or anyone) be surprised that those he had disadvantaged took
exception to it?

Whatever happened to waiting your turn?

Exactly. The cyclist created the incident himself, arrogant ****.

'Turn'? What you on about?

It's called 'overtaking' and is a perfectly legal move.

People don't ride bikes to sit in traffic jams all day.

Do you overtake queues of people waiting to pay for their groceries in a
supermarket? If you did, you'd soon discover that it's not the right thing
to do.

No because I would be making them wait longer. Why not just admit that
car drivers are lazy selfish air polluting ****s?

Overtaking a stationary vehicle is something normal people only do when it
will *not* disadvantage the person being overtaken.

Just listen to all the cyclists who whin.... complain... about being "left
hooked". All Mr White Van Man is doing in such circumstances is overtaking.
Apparently, it's a "pefectly legal move", Simon.

People don't ride bikes to sit in traffic jams all day.

Clearly not. That doesn't entitle them to carve up other road-users.

But apparently (according to you), pulling in front of a van and cycling at
10mph whilst there is a gap opening up in which he could reasonably have
expected to do 30mph (and get to the traffic lights while they were green)
doesn't mean that *he* has to wait longer.

Do you always have that difficulty with logic?

Why not just admit that car
drivers are lazy selfish air polluting ****s?

Was that white commercial van a car?

Do you stay in the inside lane of the motorway just to be polite ?
