Default I went for a car ride today.

The Sunday cyclists were out in force en-mass, congesting and
endangering
each other as well as unfortunate motorists and pedestrians while
endangering other road users like myself. Why they would want to
ride in successive queues of traffic is perhaps surprising. No
wonder they get impatient and antisocial sometimes. And then they have
the barefaced cheek to criticise motoring events which only congests
once a month for a couple of hours! Of course, the standard of cycling
of some of them was appalling. Pavement riders, rlj's, cutters up,
etc. Clearly they were either out of practice and had never passed a
test. Maybe their bikes had faults or had never been serviced, which
made cycling very difficult? Or perhaps all the England flags aflutter
on cars distracts them? Who can tell?

Of course, some of the bikes are street-garaged and unused during the
week, while their riders go to work on public transport. So they
probably get a little out of practice and try to make up for it at
weekends by cycling around willy nilly just to keep their hand in,
after they have done their short-journey shopping for newspapers of
course, and stocked their energy hungry fridges and freezers brimful
with energy bars to last the next week out.

It was good to get home away form all that whining, danger and anto-
social behaviour. I must remind myself not to drive at weekends in
future. At
least with the rush hour it only lasts an hour or two, unlike Sundays
in London which is chock-a-block with idiot cyclists for much of the
day.

Doug. We already know you are a complete ****ing idiot, you don't have to
keep on proving it. Have a day off.

Dave - intelligent enough to realise that a push bike is a kid's toy, not a
viable form of transport.
