Default Ortlieb handlebar bags

Are Ortlieb handlebar bags compatible with (Rixen and Kaul?) Klik-Fix
fittings?

Thanks, Peter

To the best of my knowledge no I don't think they are. They have their
own fittings.

I think Sam is right. I also think that the bags come with the
requisite fittings. If their rear panniers are anything to go by,
expect a benchmark in quality and ease of use.

Pete.

If it is really necessary to make it fit,I seem to recollect an article
in Cycle ( the CTC mag ) a good while ago by Chris Juden about the
application of a Stanley knife ( or some such ) to the bag fittings to
make it fit a Rixen & Kaul fitting.

Perhaps an e-mail to him might provide a solution.

Thanks guys,
With three Klik-Fix brackets on various bikes, I'm keen not to have to
replace them all.
I'll check out Chris Juden (although Stanley Knives and I don't really get
on).
Failing that, I guess it will probably be an Altura.

The newer Ortlieb bags *are* 100% compatible with the KLICKfix fitting.
I use it personally this way.
Some older Models may be incompatible (IMO half a mm or so, probably for
patent reasons) but there is a workaround with a little knife work on
the bag.

There were some threads in de.rec.fahrrad about this. I search for the
workaround and try to translate if you need it.

The KLICKfix is much easier to install (less force needed) and the
Ortlieb-System tends to (twist/turn?). The R&K has a cable around the
stem to prevent this.

Kristian, correct me if i'm wrong, still learning the language
