What would one need to do to use Campagnolo shifters in the place of
Ultegra 9s STI? Is there a web site that tells all the
compatabilities/incompatabilities between the two groups? I know alot of
parts are interchangable from what I've read in here-I just can't keep it
all straight. My Ultegra 9s are starting to feel loose and have many more
rattles in the last couple thousand miles than previous. It'd be great to
replace 'em when they finally give out with something repairable without
dropping green on a whole new groupset.

Using Campy 10s with the Hubbub connection at the rear der works perfectly.
Perfectly.

Common failure mode of 9s STI, both ultegra and DA...replace..may want
to look at Campag, and no more busted, throw away lever problems.

-------
Is there a campag triple shifter that will work with Shimano triple ring
and front der?

Any left ERGO, 2006 and earlier, will work great with shimano crank/FD,
double or triple. 2007 Record and Chorus as well. Centaur and below
lefts for 2007 have become 'indexed' and don't even work well with
Campag FDs.

So, if I get that right, they threw away the major advantage of having
ERGO over STI in these gruppo's?

well, we can always go back to shimano front derailleur friction
shifting, I guess...

What denotes a pre 2007 ERGO from a 2007 ERGO?

2007 Record and Chorus didn't change...Centaur and below are the same
as Xenon in design, a step backward, IMO. Take the back cap off and it
will become obvious. Centaur for 2007 has carbon brake blades, Veloce
for 2007 has a hole in the shift lever.
