seat cover for rain?

... I have a leather saddle on my commute bike, snip seen the post re Brooks seat cover and at £3.99 I'd suggest waiting until Aldi/Lidl do their cycle promos again(are we not due one?). They sold a saddle tool bag that came with a waterproof cover, I use that for my saddle, and the bonus is, you get a useable emergency tool bag! -- !Speedy Gonzales! Remove the SPAMTRAP to reply |

Shower cap. Is the right answer. Look in Boots, ever so cheap. Seconded. But Boots? I wouldn't link them to "cheap" http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=190230079962 Fetching. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=280235650804 Plain |

I presently use the hallowed technique of a carrier bag, tied under the seat by its handles. This works OK, but the carrier bags only last around 2-3 weeks, before the handles fall off. I just stuff the carrier bag tightly under the saddle rather than tying it. |

Shower cap. ~PB I have a supply of the freebie shower caps from various hotels stayed in over the years. Work great as saddle cover. And as a multitude of uses too. I feel a book coming on.. seat cover for rain?
In article , bugbear
writes I have a leather saddle on my commute bike, and nowhere (under cover) at work to store it :-( I have a quick release pin on the tube end where the seat post goes and just take the post and Brooks saddle with me - to the pool changing room, shops, work, etc. I learned my lesson after having my first Brooks stolen from the bike which I'd parked in Poland Street car park, in Soho. If I have to leave the bike outside and it's raining, I have an old folded up plastic bag which I fasten over the tube end with an elastic band. The Brooks saddle cover mentioned elsewhere in this thread is rather a giveaway, and eminently nickable, even if you don't have a Brooks saddle under it. -- congokid Eating out in London?
