For daily riding, I'm enjoying the Vittoria Rubino Pros. Not as
light as top-end tires, but fast and affordable.

Just did a 70 miler on new Michelin Pro Race tires today (came free
on my NEW VELOMAX WHEELS! -- terrific road feel (supple); nice 'n
light. (And the wheels were fun, too.)

Still have three new Veloflex Pave Opens in box. My friend swears
by 'em, but I can't seem to get to 'em to try!

Bill "hated the Hutchinson Carbon Comps though" S.

Hi Bill, which Velomax wheels did you get? How is the quality of the
hubs? The deal they have with the Michelon Pro Race tires included,
seems really good. Is the Velomax wording on the rim a decal? I'm
still leaning towards having a set hand built, but am looking at all
my options.

I got the Ascent II's. Hubs are pieces of art (to look at, at least ); how
they hold up is to be determined. Yeah, the Velomax wording is a large
decal; seems to be pretty well attached (4 per). The wheels LOOK terrific,
and of course that's what matters most, right?

Bill "free tires, tubes and rimstrip and $70 in Team points made deal seem a
bit sweeter" S.
