I don't normally watch TV ads but there was one that showed a
'law abiding' driver coming around a corner and crashing because
there was a deer in the road. The slogan was along the lines of
you never know what's around the corner so you should be
insured. Surely it should be you never know whats around the
corner so drive at a speed that allows you to stop in the
distance you can see to be clear.

So not anything to do with cycling. Have you seen the title of
this group?

He is too stupid.

I like a laugh, especially at cyclists.

Thanks greatly for the compliment. I love it when YOU laugh at as.

After all I ride a bicycle, a very convenient delightful economical
viable means of transport, and we all know that YOU think bicyclists are
the ****witted pits of humanity.

But "He wasn't expecting company on the quiet road" or words to that
effect, and Bambi got away - made me consider (for all of ten seconds)
contacting Go Comp[are to ask them how they thought we should drive
around bends in the countryside.

Deer always travel in pairs is the first rule of rural driving. If a deer runs out in front of you STOP!!

Indeed - I had to stand on my car's brakes when one ran out in front of me a few years ago, just in time to miss the second one.
