And certainly more than you ever will. But no matter what the answer, you are just too cool to obey the law and act responsibly. Aren't you? |

I contributed the fact that no matter what the answer, you are just too cool to do boring things like obeying the law or acting responsibly. That's correct, isn't it? If you see no objection to a cyclist's breach of the railway bye-laws, then as far as you are concerned, that's the end of the matter and you will overlook the offence entirely. As I said: But no matter what the answer, you are just too cool to obey the law and act responsibly. Aren't you? |

He wasparaphrasing from Network Rail's "Ignoring the warning lights, sirens [and] barriers at a level crossing is ... incredibly dangerous". It's a surprise that you were unable to work that out for yourself. Or is it? But you probably know better than Network Rail do, I expect? |

The answer to "why is a particular act unsafe?" is not "do you condone law breaking?" If you just want to accept, unthinking, everything your lords and masters demand, you're a fool. That's correct, isn't it? Whereas you are so cool you can never answer a question but must always reply with a tangential question. Or spend three paragraphs explaining why you can't give an answer that would have taken three words. |

It's not. It's unsafe to assume your assessment that nothing is coming is infallible, however, especially if the barriers are down and/or the warning lights are showing. In fact if the barriers are down and the lights are showing it's pretty much certain that your assessment that nothing is coming is wrong. regards, Ian SMith -- |\ /| no .sig |o o| |/ \| |
