2004 MX Comp Coil Manual?

Default 2004 MX Comp Coil Manual?

Well, I went and got the MX Comp Coil.
So with it came the Marzocchi 2004 Bomber Owner's Manual, which was
informative enough only for the most basic adjustments. The manual
that came with my old Superfly was superlative, with a complete
diagram of the breakdown of the fork. I checked the Marzocchi site and
downloaded the manual (2004-bomber-en.pdf) which wound up being the
same lame one that came with the fork. Anyone have a full breakdown
diagram/instructions for a 2004 MX Comp?

Marzocchi doesn't allow end users to have service info on their forks
anymore. They've pulled all their info off the website too. You'll need to
take it to an "Authorized Marzocchi Service Center". It's one of several
reasons I'm leaving the Bomberhood as soon as funds allow.

Do you know what your going to?

05 Boxxer World Cup for the DH race bike and a 05 Fox Talas RLC for the XC
bike. I'm keeping the 03 Super T on the Bullit. Like I said "Lot's of
money."

The 888R spent more time at Marzocchi service than I had to ride on it this
summer. I finally got the fork dialed in and love how it rides but I don't
trust the lowers to last without further problems. I've heard from friends
that the porous casting develops leaks or the side wall blows out entirely.
I've also heard the lowers just snapping off as well. I don't trust it and
that's a bad thing with a DH racing fork. The 05 Boxxer has the same 8" of
travel, service support is present at the national races (never with
Marzocchi but it wasn't a problem when you could work on them yourself!) and
I have a good friend of mine that works in tech support.

The 04 Marathon S (replaced a original Marathon with a bad negative cart)
has a ETA cartridge that doesn't work. It won't hold the fork locked down
it slowly creeps up. The Fox Talas is adjustable from 80 to 125mm and is a
solid fork. My friend has had two of them (his son inherited the older one)
and they are very happy with them. Their service support is also present at
the national races.

I've never been blindy brand loyal. I still am a fan of the older Marzocchi
forks I just don't see the same quality and support coming in their newer
offerings.

Don't get rid of that Shiver, Slackman. I'm sorry I did.

so, even for 2004 models eh? man, that sucks. I was thinking of buying
one of those (or an '05 model).

so what are you going to do and what type of fork do you ride. is it
Manitou time, or Fox?? I really prefer to service stuff myself when
possible. never taken a fork apart, but that's never stopped me before...

you'll have to call tech support and hope you're lucky enough to get a
technician who will fax you a diagram. i think you're out of luck when it
comes to instructions though.
