Note that all the stuff after the question mark in the URL is tracking
junk, including the marvellous Facebook click ID (fbclid). If you wipe it,
it makes their job just a wee bit harder. Hopefully this shorter URL also
works and hasn't been munged up in posting.

For those unaware - Sierra Grade is one of the most fearsome climbs in the San Jose area. I've never been up it but I've been led to believe that there are 14% sections. Also - there is NOTHING but one farm if memory serves.

In our Best of the Bay the 150 mile ride would take the Sierra Grade cutoff. The people showing up at the end which was in Fremont could barely walk. Many wouldn't take the cut-off and cut it down to 130 miles.

Good point. I'll try to remember that.

Same base URL, different tracking codes at the end.

Which I just made up. The random facebook garbage generator is left as
an exercise for the reader.

The report today about the Mayor's crash was totally different. He was hit on a city street down in mid-San Jose and hit HARD. His back is broken as are legs and arms. His bike was a commuter.

I suppose that's a slightly more subversive way to "stick it to the man".
