Why do you hate the government?

If we have a problem we write a law and command it to be so. *I need a
law to change g to 8.8m/s^2 -- just for me. *We need to redistribute
wealth in winnings. *That is only fair. *I decide fair.

The law is really cool. *You just change gravity to whatever you
want. *Awesome and cool, huh!?

This is rbr - we got our wholesale dumbasses on a pro-deal,
at cost. As former bike racers, we are much too cheap
to pay retail.

Ask about our 2-for-1 Deal!

Yes! I am glad this research project is making real progress.

And yet, how would you like to be the admin of the hospital?

"After a serious project to improve hand hygiene, our doctors now wash
their hands 3/4 of the time! This is a huge improvement."

BTW, the PDF reporting these findings is at turns interesting,
encouraging, and insane:

http://www.centerfortransformingheal...le/Hand_Hygien
e.pdf

The final page, where they detail the process for improving hand hygiene
is fascinating. I think it's interesting both for the specific solutions
and for the general approach to this kind of problem (though I'm sure
the general approach is a rip from the six-sigma/kaizen/etc.
business-process playbook).

On the other hand, I love the idea of a "Lean Six Sigma" approach (first
slide) to hand-washing.

I mean, I know it's the right thing to do, but but it still sounds crazy.

Thanks for pointing this out.

Befo a flip of the coin.
Now: a flip of the tetrahedron.

encouraging, and insane:

http://www.centerfortransformingheal...le/Hand_Hygien

"Every day, 247 people die in the USA as a result of a health care
associated infection. This is equivalent to a 767 aircraft crashing every
day ..."

BTW, five of the eight hospitals are teaching hospitals. Sorta makes you
wonder what else new physicians are learning.
