Grand Prix any more. It's the T-Mobile International.

You think Lance would bother flying out here just to be generous with a

Many people in NorCal still call the race by its original name. Kind of
like referring to Candlestick Park instead of 3Com stadium.

He hasn't made a sincere effort in past years to prepare for the race
as a potential winner so why would he do it different this year? In
past years he has essentially said he was there to help George, or
somebody else.

It's just an abbreviation. He means that Lance will bring his "A couple
of laps and then I'll get tired and quit" game. Excellent word economy,
really.

In last year's pre-race interview, he said he picked up a cold from

Obviously you are joking. It's still the Grand Prix.

Lance was at Boulevard the other night -- it's one of SF's best and
one of my fave restaurants. He definitely knows the dining scene A
game (courtesy of Thos. Weisel no doubt).

I wish I could see the SFGP this year... damn!
