See, that's the problem. You assume that things would be better if the other
party was in power. That's bogus. The Democrats are just as corrupt and
inept as the Republicans, and serve the exact same corporate masters. Best
thing for the country would be a third party, one with populist beliefs.

start with yourself, everyone!...

forget governments and politics...take responsibility for
yourself...and your families and dont expext big
brother/sister...whatever his/her politics...to ever help
you....he/she's only interested in him/herself, agenda and cronies, you
are a statistic to them...

look after your self and your loved ones...they are all that matter.

its your own morality you *can* do something about...start there.

and ride ride ride..that is why we have this forum... to talk about
rides rides rides and what makes then fun, and a vitial part of our
lives...

Two years back I was a spectator at a panel discussion on
contemporary media politicatl discourse. We had (from right to left)
five panelests who self-identified from Right to Left, with the
Moderate being the moderator. All five were amateurs, the Liberal (not
the Extreme Leftist) laid down strict guidelines for discourse that
were (mostly) followed, except that short interjections were supposedly
not allowed but were permitted where appropriate (saved a lot of time),
a GREAT time was had by all, etc. Too bad this sort of thing seems to
happen only at Science Fiction conventions.....

me if I carried patches. In a soft voice. So we wouldn't be overheard.
Geez, big ol' black Sefal frame pump stuck under the top tube should
have been a tipoff. And no, the other guy didn't even have a bike with
him, much less a flat tire.....
Still, there isn't all that much you can do except ride off the road
when oncoming traffic decides it wants to be in your lane, or shoulder
of road (I've had some nocturnal experience with that, as in "Those
headlights are moving way, way too fast, I don't think I even want to
be IN the road when that idiot passes this way after that little
turn"), the "Swing wide, sweet double trailer" phenomenon is well-known
to many touring cyclists, and it's only federal and international
regulations of radio frequency use that keep cell-phone lines free from
ad-supported international porn broadcasters and donation-supported
religious broadcasting.
