Cyclist finds gold

In the last 12 months Australian cyclist have proved they're amongst th
best in the world at the World Track Champs, TdF, Olympics, Paralympic
and now the Deaflympics being held here in Melbourne. On ya Reece!

Cyclist Reece-Emerson van Beek claimed Australia's first Deaflympi
gold medal on Saturday night in the individual time trial. Th
Melbourne athlete, 23, recorded a time of 43 minutes, 52 seconds on th
32km track at Ballarat, beating tough competition from Germany and th
Czech Republic. The win was especially sweet for van Beek who narrowl
missed selection for the 2001 Rome Deaflympics
