She got knocked down - but she got up again
QUOTE:
"A CYCLIST who suffered horrific injuries in a road accident near Melton is riding 10,000 miles from China to England to raise money for the air ambulance which helped save her life. Triathlete Charlotte Roach (22) was run over by a car while on a training bicycle ride in Gaddesby in 2009. Charlotte, who suffered multiple injuries including spinal damage and two punctured lungs, is very grateful to the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance and Leicester Tigers rehabilitation physio Julie Hayton, of Gaddesby, who helped save her life. And now Charlotte has already set off on her gruelling 10,000 mile cycle in the hope of raising £7,200 for the air ambulance. It will take her about six months to complete her journey. http://www.meltontimes.co.uk/news/fe...ce_1_29725 46 -- Simon Mason |

Oh dear, oh dear - yet another Simple own goal: "The 23-year-old was cycling with fellow Olympic hopefuls from the British Triathlon squad, based at Loughborough University, when a collision with the bike in front sent her into the path of a Land Rover." 2009 Funny you were only commenting yesterday about how safe it was riding up the arse of a JCB - comparing it to riding 6 inches from your mates while racing on the public highway. You are very good value you know. -- Simple Simon Mason - who cycles at 25mph in 20mph limits just because the limits do not apply to cyclists. This includes exceeding the speed limit past three schools. A total disregard for the well-being of vulnerable road users. The actions of a true psycholist. |
