Never.
The little tuscan is in a league of his own.
Expect a poker next Sunday in Zurich.

Most people have forgotten that he was once Bartoli's best Lieutenant.
Bartoli looked for a while like he would be the most successful classics
rider of his generation and it turns out his right hand man has far
surpassed him.

Bartoli who?

I wouldn't say that.
They have 6 WC races each, but Michele's mix is more important (he has
Ronde, Lombardy and Amstel instead of M-SR, S.Sebastian and Hamburg).
But for sure Paolo will pass him in a short while. He can win them all
except for P-R.

Milan-San Remo is a Monument, as is the Ronde, so I'd equate those.

San Sebastian and Amstel Gold are both newer races ... But in my mind
they're equally as difficult ...

So the only place that Bartoli has got one-up on Bettini is with the Giro di
Lombardia over the HEW Cyclassics (Hamburg) ...
