Thank heavens it wasn't more serious. I hope that he pulls it all
together
for the Tour.

A minute ago you were speculating it was a broken hip.

Maybe you didn't see the crash on TV? The way he was sitting moving one leg
while leaving the other one completely still suggested a hip problem.

He rode on for a while. Could _that_ be a broken hip?

He didn't ride after falling. I don't know where that idea came from.

He meant a break in the fleshy part of the hip bone.

A teammate of mine won a race with a broken hip. He crashed on the
third stage of the race and got his road rash cleaned up afterward.
Then he won the fourth stage, finished the fifth and went home. But
he was having some pain while sleeping so he went to the doctor. They
took X-rays and found out he'd broken his hip in the crash.

Broken hip or broken pelvis? Not sure what the remedy is for a broken
hip. It probably has degrees of severity. People do still ride with a
broken pelvis. Bullet did.

Dumbass -

It's funny how certain know-it-all blowhards (Kunich) will regularly
do retarded stuff like amateur medical diagnosis by looking at a photo
on the internet.

"A man's gotta realize his limitations" - Clint Eastwood in
"Unforgiven"

thanks,

Kurgan. presented by Gringioni.

“A man’s gotta know his limitations.” – Harry Callahan, 'Magnum
Force' (1973)

That is a gem. Tom Simpson and George Bush could have learned from
it.

Well, the precedent was set by Bill Frist doing a diagnosis of Terry Schiavo from
a crappy videotape.

I rode home after breaking my hip in a crash. Then I walked into the
ER. If the fracture isn't displaced, there's no need for surgery and
you just do nothing weight bearing for six weeks. It was hell for two
weeks and then I was able to start riding a trainer with no resistance
at 2.5 weeks. The recovery seemed to speed up at that point. I was
riding in the Dolomites at eight weeks which was the whole point of
the aggressive rehab.
