I think we all accept cars were a mid-20th century mistake when it comes to personal transport and bicycles are the future.

What should the next step be?

Rewind... in what sense were you using the phrase "personal transport"?

Come to that, in what sense were you using the word "transport",
unencumbered by any other limiting word?

I'm assuming you know, which of course, may not be a safe assumption.
