The handful that that have died after being hit by a bicycle on the pavement not only have no trouble in being identified, they are commemorated and remembered for years and years after their passing, their names are chiselled into the minds of cycle haters and Daily Mail hacks alike. Cheerless could reel off all of the victim's names from the past 10 years, no problem. I doubt if he could do the same with the 30000 killed by cars in the same period though. -- Simon Mason |

You have stated unequivocally that a bicycle is a vehicle in your eyes. Therefore it cannot be a toy . -- Simon Mason |

Your powers of comprehension cannot be that bad, surely? That sig contains a quote from a report by a third party, in which it was found that some people regard bikes as toys and some people regard them as vehicles fit only for the strange and/or poor. Some may regard them as being both/either. You have stated unequivocally that a bicycle is a vehicle in your eyes. Is there any reason why the views of the study interviewees and the PP need to be the same? |

But it is important that *you* believe that it is a vehicle. After that, we can start to make progress, albeit slowly. But to follow your weird logic, if you claim it isn't a toy - you must be poor or strange. Correct again. I am both poor and strange. But don't forget that poor and strange are both relative terms. To the owner of Chelsea football club I am poor. And to a slob who watches East Enders, X Factor, reads Hello magazine, listens to Coldplay and Take That and holidays in Corfu, I am truly strange. But then again, I am not a brainwashed sheep like they are -- Simon Mason |
